Thanks for watching our video and visiting our website. We want to create a new, free to access, website for school teachers to help with the teaching of Ancient Egypt for 7-11 year olds.

Please take a minute to look at the below questions and email your thoughts on all/any of the aspects to me, Gemma – the lady from the film – at gt278@cam.ac.uk

Questions

  • What topic themes and types of resources do you currently use to teach Ancient Egypt?
  • Are there any themes/aspects you think are missing from current learning material/online resources about Ancient Egypt?
  • How do you want your resources to be designed? Should they be cross curricular e.g. maths, science, art, literacy activities based on Ancient Egypt as a theme, or is there a better approach?
  • Do you have any go-to websites that provide a good model for learning resources and are there any specific functions that you really like/find particularly helpful?
  • Do you want learning resources/activities to state how they link to National Curriculum programmes of study, aims and attainment levels?

If there’s anything else you’d like to tell us about your needs and experience of teaching Ancient Egypt and what you’d like to see in new online resources, do please let us know!

We’ve already put together some short videos and trial resources which you can find in the links below. We’d be happy to hear your feedback!
