Professional chemist with experience in work laboratory and developing interdisciplinary projects. Key achievements include the planning, execution, collaboration, implementation and, support of research and development projects in the field of applied chemistry and archaeological and historic material, such us: Tayrona birds, Nahuanje nosering, Platinum pre-Hispanic objects, Surface Coating Nariño techniques, or and more. All these projects involved the use of different analytical techniques, such as metallography, X-ray fluorescence (XRF), atomic absorption (AA), and in some cases, Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). This included the samples analysis, data reporting, and preparation of results reports. In some instances, the results led to publication.
My interests are focused on deepening the knowledge of pre-Hispanic metallurgy in South America and making that knowledge accessible to a wide audience.
