This is a fixed term appointment for 24 months. The post holder will work as part of the Mapping Africa's Endangered Archaeological Sites and Monuments (MAEASaM) project (https://maeasam.org). Research Associate/Assistant (Fixed Term) - Later Prehistory (4000-1000 BC) of the Mediterranean Maghreb

The McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research invites applications for a fixed-term Research Associate in the Later Prehistory (4000-1000 BC) of the Mediterranean Maghreb. This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months.
The successful applicant will conduct field-oriented and desk-based archaeological research and publication on the later prehistory (ca. 4000-1000 BC) of the northern Maghreb, defined as the Mediterranean regions of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. They will be able to place their research in the broader context of western Mediterranean, and especially Iberian, later prehistory over the same timescale. They will conduct this research independently but under the general supervision and guidance of Professor Cyprian Broodbank, Disney Professor of Archaeology and Director of the McDonald Institute, whose recent research focuses on this region and period.
