Department of Archaeology

Biography

I am a research assistant with the Ng’ipalajem team investigating the last one million years of human evolution in Turkana, Eastern Africa. My work with the project involves 3D imaging and osteology, primarily using geometric morphometric methods.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science and MPhil in Human Evolutionary Studies, with theses involving ontogeny of the human lung and basicranial sexual dimorphism.

Research

With a particular passion for human osteology, I am keen to apply advanced medical imaging techniques to archaeological and forensic contexts. I work with a broad range of academics, including anatomists, archaeologists, and palaeoanthropologists, in order to improve analytical methods that our team use for a range of morphological questions.

Other Professional Activities

  • Member, Anatomical Society.

  • Member, British Association for Biological Anthropology and Osteoarchaeology (BABAO).
