Research

I am interested to investigate the process by which religious heritage is incorporated into the secular cultural heritage of an established nation state. In particular, I will analyse the utilization of religious heritage in the city of contemporary China. My project ultimately endeavours to improve the understanding of the role of heritage in the identity-making process in contemporary society.
