Research

My research focuses on the microfauna of Shanidar Cave in Northern Iraqi Kurdistan. I am interested in the reconstructing the local environment of the cave during the Middle and Upper Palaeolithic occupations of the cave and what this can tell us about Neanderthal and modern human responses to environmental change.
