Equipment

The lab is a space for work and discussion events. There is a small library for in-house use and a small collection of equipment for members' use. Desk space is limited but there are hot-desks and the central table can be used for study by members when not in use for events. If you wish to be considered for desk space, you need to register your interest with the lab manager (see membership details as well). Presentation equipment and powerpoint are set up in the lab as well. The Material Culture Laboratory owns a small collection of field analysis tools and resources available for use in the lab or, with arrangement, out in the field.

Equipment that can be checked out for research usage include:

Dinolites

Cameras

Munsell Color Charts

Drawing boards

Scales

Calipers

Rim Charts

Vessel Shape Gauges

Members of the Archaeology Department can check out resources with permission from the lab directors or manager, but preference is given to lab members in all instances.
