Congratulations to Marie Louise Stig Sørensen who has been awarded the 2023 Europa Prize from the Prehistoric Society in recognition of her contributions to European prehistory. 

In her honour, there will be a Europa Conference, "Peopling the Past: Reflecting on Prehistoric Europe" held in Cambridge on 2-4 June 2023. The conference will look at issues explored in Marie Louise's research on the Bronze Age in Scandinavia, Central Europe and England, investigating several aspects of life and death in Bronze Age communities. Her research also includes a focus on gender studies in prehistory and cultural heritage preservation.
