Professor Hastorf has ongoing, informal collaborative links with Elizabeth DeMarrais (Senior Lecturer, University of Cambridge), as well as participating in and supporting the archaeology of the Americas research community at Cambridge, and in particular the Andeanists.  Professor Hastorf is involved with anthropological research concerned with long-term human-plant relationships and, within archaeology, she has focused primarily on the Andean region of South America.
