Conference Registration

When is the conference?

CASA 2018 will take place from Friday 14th – Sunday 16th September, 2018. A schedule of the conference can be viewed here [link to Conference Programme tab].

Where can I stay?

When booking through our online ticketing system [https://onlinesales.admin.cam.ac.uk/conferences-and-events/archaeology/casa/cambridge-annual-student-archaeology-conference-2018-casa2], delegates will have the option to stay in college accommodation for the duration of the conference. A number of rooms have been secured at Newnham College, and are available to be reserved on a first come, first served basis. Accommodation prices are as follows:

- Three nights accommodation (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) will cost £90.

- Two nights accommodation (Friday, Saturday) will cost £60.

Please note that those wishing to book accommodation through the online ticketing system should purchase this no later than 14th August. Also, breakfast is not included in the accommodation charge but fruit and pastries will be provided each morning in the McDonald Institute. Accommodation at Newnham cannot be booked separately to registration at a later date, so please think carefully about your travel plans before you register for the conference.

How do I book a ticket to attend?

To register for the conference, please follow this link to our online shop https://onlinesales.admin.cam.ac.uk/conferences-and-events/archaeology/casa/cambridge-annual-student-archaeology-conference-2018-casa2.  Registration costs £15 and closes on the 7th September.

You can also use the link to book your place at the conference dinner (£20) or to reserve college accommodation (£60/£90 depending on the duration of your stay). If you wish to attend the conference dinner, please book this before 7th September.

The online booking form will also give you the option to register your interest for a punting tour during the conference. This is a fun way to see the city and hear a bit more about the history of Cambridge, so please do sign up if you would like to go! Prices will vary depending on the number of people interested, but will not be more than £10 per person. More information can be found here: https://www.rutherfordspunting.com/
