George Pitt-Rivers Laboratory for Bioarchaeology
University of Cambridge
The George Pitt-Rivers Laboratory for Bioarchaeology accommodates a diverse range of projects from various parts of the world.
The investigations utilise macrofossil analyses, phytoliths, stable isotopes, broader palaeoenvironmental work, and collaboration with other laboratories for ancient DNA and pollen. Botanical materials from the Near East, Europe, Eurasia, India, and South America are currently being used to explore vegetation history, subsistence strategies, and past cultures.
