Welfare
The life of a Graduate Archaeologist at Cambridge can often be very busy: endless reading, essays, deadlines, and interviews, not to mention fitting in pub time, sport and a social life! With so much to do, it is unsurprising that at times life can be very overwhelming. On top of this, you might be getting used to starting a new university, a new way of studying and responsibility, and a new amount of pressure!
This is where I come in- I am the Archaeology Graduate Society's Welfare Officer, and my role is to provide support for Graduates in the department. If you are feeling a bit down and don't know who to talk to, that work is getting on top of you, or if you have a problem and are not sure who to contact, I am your person. No matter how big or small, or how embarrassing you feel the issue may be, I am here to provide confidential support. You can either contact me on dw374@cam.ac.uk, or find me in the department.
I hope that you have a happy, healthy, and fulfilling time as a Graduate Archaeology student here at Cambridge!
Dom Walker
