Studying Archaeology
Archaeologists study how people lived in the past by examining the material traces that they left behind. They study human culture all around the world from Aberdeen to Abu Dhabi. They look at everything from the earliest human ancestors, to Ancient Egyptians, to World War I trenches to modern rubbish. Some archaeologists work in the field - digging up sites of past occupation, some work in the lab studying ancient DNA, others work in museums unravelling the mysteries of mummies.
